Suzuki aligns its initiative on the exciting journey of the young generation by bringing the stylish and compact scooter that will be their companion on their everyday journey – Skydrive Sport. With the rapid growth in the main mode of transportation in going to schools and getting around town, it is also vital that they know the safe and proper way of riding a motorcycle. And this is where the Suzuki Skydrive Sport Campus Hangout comes in- to ensure that the young riders get the most of their experience with their motorcycles in performance and in style, safely. As a debut, the brand selected Silliman University to hold the first ever Skydrive Sport Campus Hangout.
Also considered as a resort university due to its scenic location in Dumaguete City facing Bohol Sea, Silliman University is an educational house to 7000 students from 45 countries around the world. As the biggest university in Dumaguete which is popular to use motorcycles as the residents’ main mode of transportation, it is the best place to hold the Skydrive Sport Campus Hangout. The event was held in partnership with one of Suzuki’s valued dealers in Visayas- Gud Moto Trading Inc.
The Skydrive Sport Campus Hangout offered Learn to Ride Program and Safety Riding Seminar from the Suzuki Safety Riding Authority. A hangout place where students can play games, take photos with the Suzuki’s latest motorcycles, doodle on the freedom wall, participate at the Mural Design Making Contest, and win exciting prizes were also staged. As a culminating event, a concert night was presented showcasing Silliman University’s very own talents in singing with Samuel Akinbode & WilFreedo, dancing through the Skydrive Sport Dance Challenge and modelling through Suzuki Fashion and Style Show. The Millenial trio JBK performed as well to the delight of the students and to cap the fun event Suzuki brought Urbandub to rock the night away. The event was hosted by celebrity Sarah Carlos and Silliman’s very own Dani Gaston and Arky Tabanas
