His speech was followed by Suzuki Philippines President, Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki who surprised the very attentive audience when he called all the riders’ clubs one by one. Suzuki General Manager for Sales and Marketing of Motorcycle Division Mr. Eiji Kobayashi delivered an inspirational message as well prior to the launching of the brand’s new big bike.

Giving testimonies to the power of V-Strom 1000’s brother unit – the V-Strom 650 ABS – Puerto Princesa Palawan’s renowned restaurateur and a Suzuki Rider himself who was dubbed as Rider of the Year from 1976 to 1983 was Mr. Butch Chase. He was then followed by C! Magazine’s Motoring Editor Mr. Maynard Marcelo. Both inspired all the riders in the crowd to keep on riding because soon most of them will be riding big bikes too!
The evening also presented the first two owners of Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS in the country – Mr. Raymond Gaston who flew all the way from Bacolod and Mr. Ernie Dizon.
Developed in the Suzuki Motorcycle Technical Center in Japan under severe and countless hours of testing, the V-Strom 1000 ABS was designed and studied carefully to provide the best adventure ride that one can have. Inspired by Suzuki’s first ever big on/off road bike, the 1988 DR-BIG, the distinctively beak like cowling shows how far the V-Strom 1000 ABS is bound to soar. Sharing the spirit of the globally successful V-Strom 650 ABS, the all-new, V-Strom 1000 ABS will deliver fun, excitement and versatility to the open class rider who seeks a new world of motorcycling adventure.
