Smash Fi Launched in a City Motoquest

Suzuki Philippines recently launched the additional variant to the very popular Smash line-up, the Smash Fi, through a media and vloggers gathering called the Smash Motoquest held at One Esplanade, Pasay City. The event is a whole day gathering introducing the newest Smash with fun challenges that will highlight its features – Matipid, Maporma, Malakas and Matibay.

Suzuki’s guests’ skills, grit, creativity, endurance and knowledge were also tested alongside the Smash Fi’s performance. The attendees were divided into 8 teams to do the following quests:

Quest 1 Matipid (Economical) – All units were loaded with the same amount of gas/ full tank wherein each team was required to ride a 30km run within an hour. This round highlighted how economical the Smash is, the winning team got an impressive result of 96.1Km/L.

Quest 2 Maporma (Stylish) – This was done alongside Quest 1 wherein participants were asked to look for a good photo spot in the area to take their photo with the Smash and upload them on their SNS. Three of the most creative and stylish entries were awarded the winners.

Quest 3 Malakas (Powerful) / Matibay (Durable) – After the first 2 quests, all teams were asked to do the Motoquest obstacle course wherein a rider and their backride would pass through humps, slalom and ramp on a time-based challenge. The fastest team who completed the tasks with the least errors won this round. This was the most challenging part of the game but all participants were up to it and together with the Smash Fi, handled the obstacles fairly well.

Coming up at first place were the Red Team with members John Mendoza (C! Magazine), Jessa Samson (MotoJess), Mark Titan Hawk Cruz and Marlene Cruz (Motorsiklo Xklusibo). The 2nd place went to the Green Team with Ardie Lopez (Philippine Star), Inigo Roces (Manila Bulletin), Ian Gongona and Christopher Gongona (InsideMoto). Following on 3rd spot was the White Team with Telly Buhay (TurbanRider), Mark Christian Dizon (MC Motovlogs), Jeff Adrineda and Junjun Cabasag (Yopej TV). Winning teams won Php 30,000, Php 20,000 and Php 10,000 cash respectively.
